She saw nothing but His eyes,
And He saw only her.
On her cheek a tear would rise —
And on His… it seemed… one stirred.

That tear was not alone — so many tears
Had long been living there,
But now a word was pulsing: “Go,
Your trial is done — you’re clear!”

Among hundreds of people so eager to know,
He and she… far from all of the rest;
God’s mercy was given to them to behold,
And she saw His love — and was blessed.

He said: “Let the one who is sinless pass judgment!”
Not one bold man was found.
“Well, then, rise up, dear one, go, and sin no more” —
And her chains fell to the ground!

She walked on as if clothed with the light,
The words echoing after her, rife
With fragments: “Go… you’re forgiven…” — and bright:
“He who follows Me has the light of life!”

She walked faster and faster, afraid she would spill
All these waters of grace,
But the lying voice came to accuse her still;
It screamed: “Run — get out of this place!”

Her heart pounded wildly, tearing her chest,
And then suddenly… those eyes!
How she longed to lie down and for ever rest,
But… that tear… it was real — no lies!

She saw nothing but the Light ahead,
And He saw His own child;
She was following Him, and to her He sped
To give rest to her soul, reconciled!
