I’ll fall asleep on Your shoulder, my Jesus —
On a soft downy pillow I can’t fall asleep —
And I’ll wake in Your arms when the morning frees us,
And Your gaze will be sparkling with love, warm and deep!

You will tell me: “Hello, My beloved, My dear,
How wonderful that you exist on this earth!”
And then love and peace in my soul will appear,
And I’ll walk through the world in peace and rebirth!

Wherever I look, there’s a look full of love,
Your words of love I can never forget;
Jesus, You’re my Friend, my Lord, Brother above —
In short, every dream of my heart You have met!
